Spring is finally here, and with it comes a breath of fresh air—literally! There’s something about this season that brings neighborhoods back to life. The days are longer, the flowers are blooming, and there’s an undeniable energy in the air. People are out walking their dogs, kids are playing in the yards, and everything just feels lighter and brighter.

In real estate, spring is also when the market really picks up. If you’ve been thinking about buying or selling, this is the perfect time. Families start planning their moves before summer vacation, making it an ideal transitional period. Whether you're looking for a fresh start in a new home or ready to list your current one, now is the time to take advantage of the market’s momentum.

One of my favorite parts of this season is seeing everyone’s landscaping come back to life. A well-maintained yard makes such a difference—not just for curb appeal but for how a home feels overall. The contrast between a lush, tidy lawn and one that's been neglected can make or break a sale. First impressions are everything, and the exterior of a home tells a story before a potential buyer even steps inside. Did the owners take pride in their garden? Is the lawn overgrown, or does it invite you in with vibrant flowers and neatly trimmed hedges? Sometimes, an unkempt yard tells a different story—maybe the homeowners are older and looking to downsize because maintaining the space has become overwhelming. Every home has its narrative, and springtime has a way of revealing them all.

Speaking of gardening, I have spent so much time researching winter-sowing! If you haven’t heard of it, it’s an easy, low-maintenance way to start plants from seed. I’m building a cut flower garden in my backyard this year, and I eat, sleep, and breathe the process. My husband just finished building raised beds for fruits, vegetables, and herbs, and I’ve spent days prepping my garden space. My goal? To grow enough flowers and produce to set up a little farm stand outside my house, offering fresh bouquets and homegrown goods to my neighbors and clients. There’s truly nothing like a fresh bouquet of flowers, and I’m beyond excited for that first bloom. If you love gardening as much as I do, let’s connect—I could talk about it for days!

When you're out viewing homes this season, take a moment to look beyond the walls and into the outdoor space. A home’s exterior speaks volumes. A little curb appeal goes a long way, and with spring breathing life back into our neighborhoods, there’s no better time to make a move. Whether you're buying, selling, or just soaking in the beauty of the season, I hope you enjoy every moment of this time of year as much as I do!
